As more and more resources are available to us in the School District of Janesville, I have been integrating technology and 21st century skills into my instruction in order to increase student involvement and enthusiasm in the French classroom.  As we have increased access to technology, students are able to use the computer to produce more and more innovative, web-based projects.  I want to offer parents and students this forum to see what we are doing in French class with web 2.0 tools!

Web 2.0 Projects

2013-2014

French 7 is making Animoto videos about themselves using cognates. 

French 8 will be making Animoto videos featuring Francophone (French speaking) countries around the world.  They also made weather reports in French.

French I  used PhotoStory 3 to make movies about their school day.  They also used ePals to write to online penpals in France.

French II used Animoto to make video introductions of themselves. They also used ePals to write to online penpals in France. 

All levels used Quia, StudyStack, and Classtools.net to study online and take practice quizzes.  They were all introduced to several online presentation tools in French class, including Glogster, Blabberize, Xtranormal, and Animoto.
