Why French?

The Bois de Vincennes is home to four lakes, fed from the Marne River:

  • Lac Daumesnil, in the west, this lake has the largest surface area with 2 islands
  • Lac des Minimes, in the north-east, is half the size of Lac Daumesnil with 3 islands
  • Lac de Saint-Mandé, is in the north-west
  • Lac de Gravelle, in the south-west, is the smallest of the four lakes

Rowboats can be hired at both Lac Daumesnil and Lac des Minimes.
